“I have lived in my neighborhood for more than 20 years and love it. The people are friendly and eclectic, there are great shops and restaurants within walking distance, we have a terrific Farmers Market every Sunday and we are a short bike ride away from Golden Gate Park.
“That said, if there was one thing I could do to improve the area it would be to inspire every person to take more ownership of their block. Keeping your block clean of trash and graffiti-free doesn’t just happen. People need to take action. The city offers services like 3-1-1 so it is easy to call and report graffiti and the neighborhood association gives out free trash grabbers so it can be easy to help out in that small way.”
—Leela Gill, North of Panhandle Neighborhood Association Board Member

Every Sunday is the NOPA Farmers Market held at the corner of Grove and Divisadero from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Enjoy chatting with neighbors,

The NOPNA General Meeting will be held July 15 at the Poleng Lounge, 1751 Fulton St. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the meeting runs from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
