Japan earthquake and tsunami one year later – Sunday March 4, 9 a.m. till noon

To commemorate the 2011 earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster in Japan last year on March 11, the Japantown community and Friends of the Urban Forest will hold a cherry tree planting on Sunday, March 4 from 9 a.m. till noon. Sixteen trees will be planted, with plans to plant another 30 trees later in the summer.
